In May 2020, The United Nations put out a public-service creative brief to designers around the globe. The ask was to create eye-catching, scroll-stopping content that would promote COVID-19 safety guidelines as outlined by the World Health Organization. In response, we created Social Distance Supply, a fake line of apparel that promoted physical distancing in humorous ways. Each article of clothing was given a unique design and product name and was promoted on Instagram using #UNCovid19Brief and other trending hashtags about the pandemic. The response to our “COVID Swag” was so great on our agency channels, that we decided to produce the product line for real and donate all the proceeds to Cincinnati small business.
